Let’s
take a look at what you can do to solve the problem. You don’t say
which browser you are using, so I’ll do a little troubleshooting for
Internet Explorer. One issue could be the ActiveX Filter in Internet
Explorer.
Select Settings > Safety> ActiveX Filter.
You can check out what types of add-ons you’re running on your
computer by going to Settings>Manage Add-Ons in Internet Explorer.
Select Toolbars and Extensions and you’ll see a list of programs.
You’ll see Adobe Shockwave Flash on the right.
If
you click on it, in the bottom pane, you’ll see information about the
program, including the version number and whether or not that extension
is enabled on your computer. If a program is giving you issues, you can
always disable it.
To make sure you are running the latest version of Flash, go to the Flash Player Support Center page. You can update the program and find fixes to known bugs.
If none of these steps help, you could also try uninstalling and reinstalling Shockwave Player. In your search box type uninstall a program and then click on that result when it comes up.
Once you have uninstalled the program, you can return to the Adobe at this link and download Shockwave Player again.
